Hawking would surely have the laugh of a lifetime if he could read this public forum, where he's being discredited by a fully-grown adult (?) who agreed that he, too, is "afraid of the dark".

Also, no offense to people in wheelchairs, or with disabilities...but he really does not live a "normal" life. His entire view of reality is skewed from his point of view as a disabled person, and a seemingly bitter one at that.

Please go to post number 17 which shows just how very willing physicists are in believing that Micky Mouse or an unlimited number of Elvis's must exist somewhere if indeed there are infinite dimensions or an infinite number of multi universes or even if the universe itself is infinite. However, if we substitute God for Micky Mouse or Elvis well, heh! heh! then they immediately go into a catatonic stupor and veritably herniate all their cerebral cortex lobes as their neurons begin to misfire in diverse erratical ways.

Multiple universes are not as far-fetched as you might think.

In the most recent study on pre-Big Bang science posted at arXiv.org, a team of researchers from the UK, Canada, and the US, Stephen M. Feeney, et al, have revealed that they have discovered four statistically unlikely circular patterns in the cosmic microwave background (CMB). The researchers think that these marks could be “bruises” that our universe has incurred from being bumped four times by other universes. If they turn out to be correct, it would be the first evidence that universes other than ours do exist.
