The religion I was raised in was very strict & involved. There was peer pressure to "be good." Yet I rebelled, mostly because I had parents who didn't give a hoot. However, friends make a big difference & I'd say those who are more involved with church gangs have a better influence on each other than those involved with violent or drug-related gangs.

I am familiar with the Bible. My opinion is that anyone who believes in the God of the bible must first believe slavery, wars, cruel and unusual punishment, racism, sexism, human sacrifice, and punishing the innocent is okay. This is what the god of the bible supported.

After one believes this is acceptable from their god as long as this god gives them an eternity of bliss in return, it is a short trip to immoral behavior!
