Don't be uneasy. My father was the first president of the trustees for a new christian academy in Dallas. He did ask me if I wanted to go there, entering in the 7th grade. I said no. I had just gotten involved in our school's band program, which was the best in the country at the time, and knowing what I had in store for me in that program, there was no way I would miss out on that. He had no problem with my choice.
