I guess the official name for it is "eternal return". I call it reincarnation because for all praticle pourpouses we are born again, we just don't remember our previous life, but it is us.

Would you say that all these aphids are the same one aphid? Or would you say they are different aphids, different individuals?
How about Identical twins? Would you say they are the same person?
The unique thing about aphids is their asexual reproduction - that mama aphid has effectively cloned itself to produce offspring. All the aphids in this picture, therefore, have the same DNA. Identical twins have the same DNA and yet I hope you would consider them individuals, different people who happen to share the same genes.
I see your point but the question is what defines what a person is? Even in twins they are seperate personalties.
Exactly. And identical twins and Aphids share the same DNA... so even if in so many years time in another universe somehow your DNA is recreated by nature, that does not necessarily mean YOU are being reborn.
It's an interesting theory and one I once considered - not in the sense that you have introduced, more as just a replication of one's physical body. Now I believe in reincarnation where the soul/spirit/essence/energy of one person is transferred into another body so the person (as spirit) relives.

I belived in alot of gods and mostly in greek mythology. Zeus is kings of god to me yet still seaching for the "GOD". Im a Christain but reather to be a catholic. I dont trust good amount of christains becus they are too exterm to modern times.

SpidrAkirE, do you believe that reincarnation of soul/spirit/essence/energy applies only to people or does it occur with other living things? If it only applies to humans, why would they be endowed with such an ability?
