Jesus was a Son of God which something we dont understand bc he was literally perfect before something of Earth was even formed. To fullfill a Godlike divine mission he came to earth as a man....lived on earth and died on earth as a man. You cant become any more perfect if you are already perfect but you can grow indefinitely in experience. Rather than being just a God he is now the Son of God, Son of Man=something greater...Its as if reality itself sent a being to portray the loving attitude of the highest of all most highs all the way down to the lowest of all low's mankind
For every believer theres a non believer. Your eyes don't need to see to believe. how would a blind person believe if they could not see the proof. Why would a story be made of a man whom was born and tried to tell the people of that time to change their way so they could enter the kingdom of heaven. Why not say he was a king that ruled with a mighty hand.and no one had choice but to believe. The word god means ruler. execpt god the father jesus christ and the holy spirt leave you the chocie to believe. Funny people find it easier to believe in satan than jesus. wheres the proof that satan exsits.Jesus is the savior of the world. Whos your savior superman?
It's not about whether people thought he was a fraud or not. It's about a man who allegedly healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water, fed thousands with vitally nothing, preached to multitudes and performed other miracles the like of which the world had never seen before or since. Such a man would have drawn immediate attention. Yet nobody seemed to notice him.
That's my point exactly. The people who wrote the histories found it a lot simpler to simply ignore His existance than to try to discredit Him. You know... ignore the myth; it will soon be forgotten. Address it and you keep the whole thing alive.
Oh, Raf, this thread has seriously devolved. Based on the answers found here, I'd say the historicity of Jesus is dubious at best.
...but then, we knew that anyway.
