Just FYI, requiring belief in a strict interpretation of the Nicene Creed would exclude Mormons.

Seriously? What part specifically do Mormons not agree with?

Yes, gray. With black and gray parachute pants. I didn't have Nike Air hightops though. My parents didn't buy us designer stuff. Even our Member's Only jackets were the knockoffs.

Just let me know when to order mine.

Now back to the topic at hand.

being of one substance with the Father

I've always interpreted this to mean a belief in the Trinity. Mormons believe God and Jesus are separate beings. So it would theoretically be possible to sit in a room with God and Jesus on separate chairs.

I think I'm missing out on something...I believe in the Trinity and I still believe God and Jesus to be seperate beings.

The Nicene creed wouldn't work either. We couldn't get agreement on everything in it either. Plus, since it isn't in the bible, some would hold that it's not aproved by God.

Does every Christian believe what "resurrection of the dead" means? Or "one holy catholic and apostolic Church"

We can't even agree on what the bible means when it says "on the third day."

Nope, the big problem would be that too many Christians feel that those who don't think exactly the way that they do are not following the bible's teachings, and therefore, they are NOT Christians.

Default If they consider themselves a Christian... they're welcome?

Well, how about just anybody that considers themself to be a Christian is welcome?
