Jesus Christ is the Word of God. The Bible merely tells us of Him and how to know who He is.

That would be the Christian Bible, not the Bible.

I think it's a safe bet to assume that when a Christian is speaking of "the Bible" they are referring to the Christian Bible. I don't think they'll easily be convinced that the Tanakah is "the Bible" for them, drop their Greek New Testament and start reading the Tanakh alone.

The way you phrase your questions makes me wonder when you're going to start adding:
"Have you ever been to a Turkish bath house, Jimmy?" or "Do you like gladiator movies, Jimmy?"

I know where you're going with this, so let me be very clear, so we don't waste time.

I believe Jesus is the living Word of God. Further, I believe the Bible is the written Word of God. The two will not disagree. If the spirit which indwells us impresses upon us something that is in direct conflict to the written word, it is not from God.

So.....

The spirit is "God's Holy Spirit", which is what you said earlier. And the Bible is the written word of God. And if the "spirit which indwells us impresses upon us something that is in direct conflict to the written word, it is not from God." How could that possibly be, if the spirit is God's Holy Spirit?
