I am sorry for your abusive life, but I was referring to children who are murdered by their parents.....I, too was abused in horrible ways as a child and I am glad I still exist, but I was truly referring to those poor children who do not survive absolute heinous torture.
As has already been established many children do survive. Some children surviving are better than none surviving.
My meds are pretty harsh so I am probably confused. Please tell me where I went wrong.
It sounds like you are saying some kids might get murdered so it would be a good thing if we made it legal and easy to murder them.
Where did I misunderstand?
well someone DID! (say that it would be better if abused children were aborted before hand). glad it wasnt you. (though if it was, you have the right to your opinion of course)

Why are people taking my posts out of context? Please read the whole post. Please do not just pick and choose words for your convenience to make a point. There are so many abused children in this world today. I am one of those. Do I wish I was not born? heck no! I am glad I am here. But, many children today are literally murdered by their parents enduring incomprehensible torture until they die of their torture. Notice I wrote "DIE".....they cannot live due to the injuries they have suffered.
I am saddened that many of you have endured child abuse and I hope that the healing process has begun for you.
whether murdering a child by microwave or abortion it is still an act of violence committed upon a child so i do believe they are the same. but that's just my opinion of course.

Don't you think it would have been better for these mothers to have aborted? Please do not write that abortion is the same as killing a baby you have given birth to, have held and have named. It is not the same. To compare a murder by hitting your child to death or putting a baby in the microwave or abandoning your baby in a trashcan is the same as abortion, would be awful, but I am sure that a lot will disagree.

I basically said that (in post #274 of this thread).
But I would never say to a living abused person, "You should not have been born. Your mother should have had an abortion."
Why would I do that? In that case the damage is done and the only option is for the abuse victim to move on in the best way that they can. And I would be happy to help them do that if I could.
But I would definitely say to an unfit mother, "If you are going to keep and abuse your child, then you should have an abortion." And I believe that.
That is all true and all terrible, of course.
I worry more about all of the people who are leading basically normal, but unhappy lives because of unwanted children. When those TV commercials show young, confused girls getting lectured by Christian elders about the evils of abortion - I think about the potentially crappy life that the unborn child has ahead of her.
I hate the thought of parents who provide a sub-par home for their unwanted children. A home that lacks love. Unwanted children who are full of anger and resentment because that's what they have received from Mom and/or Dad their whole life. What a miserable existence. I'd rather see unwanted fetuses "killed". If abortion ruins the mother's life, that is still better than ruining her life AND her unborn child's future.
maybe this is the post that said unwanted/neglected/abused children should be aborted?

but why not say to her instead "if you are going to continue with the pregnancy and then abuse your child, then you should consider adoption"
Why not second suggestion instead of last?
(love your name btw!)
Thanks.
And yes, I see your point that adoption should always be suggested first. I agree with that.
The main point is that I would never make someone feel that abortion is automatically the wrong thing to do. I just don't believe that.
That is why I'm pro-choice, because I truly believe that the mother has (and deserves) the ultimate choice. What she does with that choice is her business. If the woman is a person with a conscious, then any of the choices may be very difficult for her to live with, and I feel that it is wrong to condemn her for whatever choice she makes.
