Perhaps the best know American miracle is claimed to be the miraculous appearance of an image of the Virgin Mary on the tilma (or cloak) of the Mexican indian Juan Diego in 1533.
The tilma is maintained in the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Mexico City.
Traditionally it has a twelve point crown (see Rev 12). But around 1890 the crown disappeared.
Any idea where it went?
