Hey all, a friend of mine is doing a graduate study of the Crusades and Muslim-Christian relations. She needs people to weigh in with their opinions on all those tasty topics.

Her survey is online Modern Perceptions of the Crusades in the United States

There's a chance to win a $25 Amazon card as well if that floats your boat, just scroll up after you've taken the survey. Takes about 5 minutes or less to take.

You can respond here with any comments or pm me for more info. Also there's a blank option in her survey for any comments if you have opinions as well.

Thanks!

Given the ferocious interest in history demonstrated by Americans, I wouldn't want too many people responding to that link, if I was the one doing that graduate study.

Your friend had some good questions that were easy to understand.

She asked if Islam is a violent religion and, of course, I answered Yes.

However, she did not ask if Christianity is a violent religion. If she had, I would also have answered Yes.

There should be some questions relating that the Crusades were not just Christian vs Jew They were European Christians Vs anybody who was not European Christian this included not only Muslims but also Jews, Sabieans, Pagans, Coptics, Etc and in some instances Orthodox Christians.

Also the Crusades were not limited to the Holy Land, there were also the Northern Crusades.
