It is a good thing that you state your arguments are not meant to convince because they don't. They also fail to cause thinking.

Before asking "will you think with me" you must show some independent thought, not just that parroting the thoughts of others represented by your "holy" book.

I disagree that they fail to cause thinking; the first cause is me; they make me think as I consider what to express , and I read what I have expressed. They make me think. And I am satisfied first; whoeverelse is thinking, thats on them, not me. And thats exactly how I view the bible; it makes me think, it begins with and benefits me; how others deal with that book, thats on them, not me.

First if you are going to make such "statements of fact" you need to back them up with fact.

Pressures from culture and society have a great deal to do with hiding the fact one is an atheists. I suspect that there are many more atheists than statistics indicate.

Are you suggesting that Atheist are not 73-90% male and white? My source was the gallup poll.

Well who cares what those polls say. Who conducts them and how? I know nobody has ever called my house from the gallup.

Are you so self obsessed that you truly consider yourself to be the only one in the world who could be correct? That is what your posts are causeing me to "think".

Your own statements cause you to think? Perhaps you should think before you make such statements.

Yep. Cherry picking what "facts" you choose to believe leads one to believe that you actually have no facts. Only your own agenda.

In his defense, I think that is what he was implying. That he has to "think" how to respond with his posts ie they cause he himself to think.

I picked one of the facts that show me why Atheism will never outgrow religion, thats why I brought the fact up. White males don't have enough power to overcome religion, there are more white males in religion than there are in Atheism. What makes religion much larger and more sucessful than Atheism, is Women and Ethnic peoples, two groups who are not attracted to Atheism; and thats another cherry picked fact.

Now the question is " Why" arn't women and ethnic peoples attracted to Atheism?

But I won't give the answer because I don't want to hurt any Atheist feelings; that truth would hurt.

Definition of cherry picking to support your personal beliefs.

I don't accept your premise. I posit that it only supports an unwillingness for independent thought. The same could be said concerning how the majority of people in the world are not christian.

To find out the true answer, you would have to interview all of the "ethnic" and women in the world. Have you done this? I doubt it. You just continue to make assumptions not supported by any real facts.

The "truth" is simple as that. You have a death grip on your assumptions and will not even consider anything else. The real "truth" would hurt you and your assumptions.
