I get that to, but I continue on with them; and for several reasons. One, the Iron sharpens Iron biblical principle- which does not only apply to sharp believers, it applys to sharp unbelievers as well. I find some Atheist very sharp in their views, which in turn requires me to be just as sharp or more. And this is the essence of characther development.

Secondly, when one is attacked constantly in conversation with rudeness , that presents the benefical opportunity to learn how not to respond in kind; which is benefical, " If " one really espires to be an effective believer in this world.

Thirdly, their bark is greater than their bite. Its our views they ultimately disagree with, its NOT personal; so don't take it personal.

Its just business. And how you go about the Fathers business is being judged by him.

People are still people whether they're religious or not. God would just be replaced by something else to muck the world up, namely lust for power and greed. Funny enough, things are that way now with the majority of the world believing in a god.

Well stated; this is why I do not believe that God has placed any focus on changing the characther of human beings since Christ was here. Its been hands off > Live and let Live > and those who have thought that they represent God, and God has excerted his energy to change this world in the past since Christ up to now; seriously need to rethink that position.

Because its NOT what has occured.

Another example of the rudeness that is typical of atheists.

How is saying "if your god exists" disrespectful? As an atheist I don't believe he does. Saying that is no more rude than a Jew saying they don't believe in Jesus's divinity. I merely pointed out that your close minded attitude would be disappointing to the god YOU espouse. As an atheist I don't judge people I know according to their beliefs. I judge them by the content of their character. Something you seem to be unable to understand. You also accuse atheists of constant attack against your religious beliefs but feel no qualms attacking all atheist with a broad brush. Your hypocrisy is showing.

I am not on a personal crusade against nonbelievers, I just do not care to have them as a part of my inner circle because faith is such a big part of my life. ....and this Jesus you claim to follow? Did he do the same, just associate with like minded people.... or was he out there amongst the 'sinners', the lepers, those that did not think the same as him, those that didn't 'fit in'? Your Jesus would be proud of you I'm sure!

If atheists' posts seem a bit snarky, bear in mind that there are multiple threads by Mickiel and others, all with a transparent agenda of discrediting atheism. It does get old after a while.

Well, I don't know the general "atmosphere" in the religion forum because I just happened to wander in here for the first time and decided to post.

I will say that I don't have a real need to argue against atheism or argue with those who are atheists. I have no desire to fight the skeptics and nonbelievers with bible verses. But I also do not care to have people in my life who lack faith and spirituality. If people have chosen to live faithless lives, then that is their choice. We all have free will. I simply chose to not have faithless people in my personal life. I would never knowingly date, marry and have children with a faithless man.

My faith is strong. My commitment to God is unbreakable. My love of Jesus Christ is infinite. I will praise Him, always. God is good. God is love.

I hold no intentions of discrediting any group or belief , I just call it like I see it. I am not against Atheism or Christianity, or Religion; I just personally don't take part in any of them. I am out front with my views, my agenda is to harness a Hope within me, and I like being for real with things. All three of the above listed has helped me in many ways, I was destined to interact with each for benefical reasons.

I don't discredit, I examine and " Try the thing by the things it exspouses." I come here and go other places everyday because I personally enjoy it, and glean from it.

Well I for one, wish you well on your journey. Your desire for a controlled environment in your personal life, is up to you; you know whats best for you. Can't say I blame you for how you would choose your mate, I certainly control that area in my life. There are just certain type of women I wouldnot have.

I think I have gotten to the point where most of them won't have me either!

Yeah he is basically saying "Because there is stuff we do not know and have not learned, that means everything I just made up is probably right after all, even though I just made it up".

In other words, no matter what anyone says, no matter what evidence you are shown, no matter what proof you are offered.... your mind is closed any anything and everything that contradicts what you believe?
