Default The Argument from Design.

(1) It is an indisputable and yet remarkable fact that many natural objects appear to have been designed for a purpose: the eye for seeing, the hand for grasping, etc.
(2) The only reasonable explanation for this appearance of purpose is that natural things are ultimately the product of an immensely powerful supernatural intelligence, namely God.
(IBE) If an hypothesis H is the only reasonable explanation of a remarkable fact F, then it is reasonable to believe that H is true.
(3) Therefore, it is reasonable to believe is that God exists.

What are your views on the Design argument?

Personally, I view the concept of intelligent design as bunk.

We evolved what we needed to survive thru a process called adaptive mutation. Nature, in her infinite wisdom, saw what we needed and eventually provided it.

Agreed. The 'Argument From Design' is rubbish.

Sunday skool is phun and eazee

Now back to reality...

The "perfect" eye needs spectacles and/or laser surgery to correct a "perfect" design

Yay Science.

The "perfect" eye develops cataracts and can be healed by science, nowadays a relatively painless laser procedure.

Yay Science.

Of course this perfect eye codswallop has been debunked time and again. We have critters with multiple eyelids that can withstand their environment like the desert, Yay evolution/adaptation. Throw some sand in your eyes, pretty useless no?

But the eye argument is now old. This has been replaced by the (more) complex DNA that SCIENCE DISCOVERED and now the ID folk claim, THIS is it, the way god actually set it all up. Aka theistic evolution.

The mighty cosmic magician instapoofs the cosmos and all into being no problem and then is relegated to simple DNA to further his dastardly creation plan but then we find this DNA sometimes goes wrong and we get deformed babies How does that work? Is that intelligent?

Everywhere you look, you see stupid design assuming it was designed.

I just love that tube that runs down our throat, Air and food going down the same tube resulting in a risk of choking. Now that is clever huh?

Not to mention the entertainment area being incorporated with the waste disposal system.

Default Such cumulative & compelling logic! Pretty impressive, to be sure!

Why ask?? Who cares and why bother when you have told us the ultimate truth by your very assumptive claims? Such as these pre-conclusive selections...

1) It is the only reasonable explanation of a remarkable fact

2) many natural objects appear to have been designed for a purpose..

3) The only reasonable explanation for this...

4) natural things are ultimately the product of an immensely powerful supernatural intelligence, namely God.

5) If an hypothesis H is [u]the only reasonable explanation...

5) Therefore, it is reasonable to believe...

But wait! I've pretty much quoted your entire post, haven't I? Ooops! So there it is: your entire post is assumptive, makes unsupportable claims, and is therefore biased, pre-assumptive, leaving no room for any discussion and unreliable.

Oh-ohhh. Where DOES that leave your dreadibility, distraff? (purposeful typo, btw...)

Ditto for the highly dis-functional and easily disproven Irreducible Complexity pseudo-argument. There are literally tens of dozens of websites by highly credible authors that provide critiques, point by point. And it's not my job to try to educate you here (tried it with intransigents in the past, and it's no use!), but since you make so many "absolute" claims here, the really is no benefit or return on investment of the energy required.

People who do not believe in divine intelligent are usually people who have not had any true witness of the Living God Lord Jesus Christ, and who will never ever have witness unless they turn from their ways a seek truth of the Living God .... So what is truth ? Truth is what ever the True living God says and Him alone ,........ One body part of man that is designed for a purpose for the Lord God is the brain, as Man was chosen and created by God for interaction with Him, as the other animals have lacked ......

I love the god of the gaps, even though this particular gap has already been filled.
