I assume you believe that your god also takes care of intelligent life on other planets in the Universe.

But who takes the place of Jesus on those planets? Did our version of Jesus also live on those planets to give them salvation, or do they have their own version of Jesus?

What if those civilizations are much, much more advanced than ours and became intelligent millions of years ago? Do you think their Jesus also lived millions of years ago? If so, they sure have been waiting a long time for their Rapture.

Something to think about when we are alone and pondering His magnificance, and that in this never ending string of galaxies and Universes that we are probably less than a grain of sand in existance..

Perhaps He is walking other planets in other galaxies right now..He said He had other sheep to feed but never said exactly where or who they were.

I think there are other civilizations maybe similiar to ours but in different
stages of time..

Yeah I think Jesus is/was always with God.

As far as the rapture doctrine goes..I don't believe it..I believe the only rapture I experience will be at the moment of death when I step into the next life..

Nice thread idea, Hiker

Since my understanding of the role Jesus played in our spiritual evolution involves His bringing the Holy Spirit of God (God's consciousness) into the human species' consciousness . . . it is entirely reasonable to suppose that other species with consciousness would need someone of their species to do the same.

In Genesis 1: 14-18.....God said ``Let be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, to give light on the earth and it was so and God made the stars also, and the evening and the morning were the fourth day``...... See for people who believe in the seven solar day creation, God did not even create the day until the fourth day , go figure !....... See there are no other planets in scripture where there is life apart from the lone earth , as we are the only planet that has life in all the vastness of the space realm, and there is only one Jesus , and aliens of other planets are science fiction, and the aliens who people witness are fallen angel and demonic dark spirit that are stuck on the earth by the power of the Lord God and the Only living God ......

There are some who believe that not only this but that Jesus was the only son of god on this planet. If you have read Joseph Campbell's The Power of Myth, then youd have read his explanation of the idea that Jesus was just one of many and happened to be the one history focused on. And that this idea explains the discrepancies of his birth stories in the bible.

According to Bob Dylan, every grain of sand can be very important.

In the Milky Way galaxy alone there are about 160-180 billion stars. These stars have planets in orbit. There are billions of additional galaxies and in turn each galaxy has billions of stars. So the possibility of finding Earth like planets is rather high.

Now that we are becoming more technically advanced we are starting to discover Extrasolar planets on a regular basis. Any planet that is rocky and with a temperature where water does not evaporate or is permanently frozen can sustain life.

But, don't worry, these planets are light years away and with our current technology we cannot travel there,

I agree
I was not referring quality I was referring to quantity (as in the number of people on this planet compared to how many may be elsewhere
