I suspect the man is a publicity hound and likes being in the limelight. It has nothing to do with either God or rationality, just the bright lights and interviews for Pat.

Do finish the saying: - 'which is better than no clock at all.

But we have so many working clocks that we do not need to consult a broken one.

The logic is that hitting on the right answer for the wrong reasons does not make the person right, even in that one matter.
