I ask the second question because apparently one of the first controversies in the early church was whether the new belief system should restricted to just jewish people or open to all people.
Yes; but, bear in mind, while Jews are bound by the 613 Mitzvot (Commandments), Gentiles are only bound by the 7 Noahide Commandments.

So, when the decision was made that Gentiles could become Christians without first converting to Judaism, these new Christian Gentiles were not bound by the 613 Mitzvot (Commandments) as were the Christian Jews, and that's why Christians do not keep kosher nor observe Shabbat, etc., etc.

RESPONSE:

Let's see:

Noahide commandments.... are as follows: 1) to establish courts of justice; 2) not to commit blasphemy; 3) not to commit idolatry; 4) not to commit incest and adultery; 5) not to commit bloodshed; 6) not to commit robbery; and 7) not to eat flesh cut from a living animal. These commandments are fairly simple and straightforward, and most of them are recognized by most of the world as sound moral principles. Any non-Jew who follows these laws has a place in the world to come.

Wow! So Gentiles are not sinning by committing fornication!

Man are you guys messed up. Once Avraham came upon the scene and HIS obedience was counted for righteousness we had our 1st Hebrew (crossed over) person who received the "Promise" from YHVH. HIS descendants would become "Israel". The Gentile was admonished to "Graft" into Israel and NO LONGER be a Gentile. The definition of a Gentile was "Lost, Undone and without YHVH. They are OUTSIDE the camp and are NOT a part of the Promise. It is a bold faced lie to insinuate in ANY way that Gentiles are part of Israel UNLESS they graft in and then are NO LONGER a Gentile and must live just as the Israelite is and that means follow Torah. The 613 Commandments must be understood. NOT ALL apply to any ONE individual. Some are exclusively for priests, ,some for women, some for men etc, hence there really are NOT 613 commandments expected to be followed by EVERYONE. There is a HUGE difference between the pagan man made religion of christianity and the Hebrew faith. We're not talking ONLY about Jews by the way as they are but 1 of 12 tribes of Israel. ALL Israel those grafted in or native born NO difference are expected to follow Torah and the Moadim (appointed Feasts and Festivals of YHVH) and forsake their pagan ways such as christmas, easter and others.)

AS Pilate wrote..."King of the Judeans"......This was a Jewish cult to begin with....Jesus was the genetic heir to the royal lands...the ROMANS knew it and so did the detractors of Christ...JESUS said "Those who call themselves Jews (Judeans) are not...but of the synagog (gathering) of THEIR father Satan (the liar).........in other words - the people that wanted Jesus dead where not even from the area..they were interlopers who were not Judeans but who wanted to claim rights to the real estate...that they knew belonged to the royal family............................................ .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ....................so....it's not that the Jews do not except Jesus as a great rabonni or savior.......It is because there is confusion regarding the records.....Jesus did not have it in for the Jews - and was NOT their enemy....people simply did not understand scripture....the Jews and the Christians just never gave the ancient text any real thought....Jesus was the greatest and most benevolent king that the Jews ever had...maybe they simply wanted democracy.....lol.

What do I think
of The Jewish View that Jesus is the false Messiah?

Well, maybe Jesus thinks, their not Jews.

generally speaking , Jews are the nation that God sent many many prophets to it ,yet they used to mock the prophets and kill them .Jesus by the way not the first one to be mocked or abused by Jews.

Reading your post might make someone think that Judaism is the only religion on Earth that doesn't recognize Jesus. How about if you added the rest of them to your list?

It is not true that all other religions don't recognize Jesus. That's actually a good topic for another thread.

I think other religions recognize Jesus as a great teacher (like Ba'hais, for instance) but not as son of god and certainly not as savior/acceptance to heaven by him only.
Great teachers of many types are recognized in many religions. (Of course, the Ba'hais did give themselves two and the other great figures are the only ones in their religion. I guess that's how it can be when you make the rules. I found that very interesting about Ba'hais when I first learned about it).
