In the Bible Jesus says that no-one can come to the Father except through him.

If you believe this to be the case, do you also believe in a loving God who loves all of humanity?

If you believe that to be the case then what about all the people who have lived and died without ever having heard of Jesus, and all the people who lived and died before Jesus was even born?

Jesus said it I believe. I believe the Bible is God's Word and all true. In the Old Testament when animals were sacrificed, they were cut into pieces, the parts were washed the fat was burned, the blood was sprinkled and the meat was boiled. Blood was demanded as atonement for sin and God accepted animal blood to cover the people's sin. But because of what Jesus did on the cross, He died once and brought the sacrificial system to an end.

No, I dont think any rational, educated person believes this to be true. I think only the fundies (the religious fundamentals) believe this is true. But then again, their opinion is not taken very seriously, although they may think it is.

No. The belief that Jesus the only way is based on the bible.

I will never say that God MUST restrict his heaven to just those people that believe a certain way. It's a book written by Man. People may believe what they want to about it.

[quote=willowthewhisp;1471633][color="DarkOrchid"]In the Bible Jesus says that no-one can come to the Father except through him.

If the bases of Christianity is founded by using the Old Testament than Jesus just lied. God himself said in Deut every man is accountable for there own sins.
Also learn about a Jewish holiday that Christians were commanded to follow by god but no one practices because it prove you do not need Jesus. That holy day is Yom Kippur it is found in Leviticus. It is about going to god directly to atone your sins. God made it clear that only you are accountable to him directly.

go to aish.com or judaism 101 it explains about the holiest day of the year. Matter of fact if jesus was a practicing jew he actually would have observe this day.

I am not jewish but I did learn more about the old testament. You guys should ask your pastors why they spend little time teach about the old testament. If you want the answer I will tell you why.

But according to New Testament teaching didn't Jesus die as the ultimate sacrifice in order to do away with all other sacrifice which had gone before?

Jews don't do the animal sacrifice thing any more do they which was done in Old Testament times?

You don’t need blood to atone sin. There are many ways to atone and one was pray directly to god. God said he created all things. He does not need you to sacrifice what he has already made. Second Jesus dying on the cross is an affront to god and that is why the Jews do not use crucifixion or hang people on a tree.

Jews don't follow the New Testament.

Sacrifice belonged in the Temple in Jerusalem. No Temple, no sacrifice.

No.
In the old testament you are judged by actions, not by beliefs. What is important is how you live.
The Jewish faith also has rules that allow Gentiles to live a rigteous life, called the Noahide Laws. They basically say that a non-Jew who leads a decent life (no lying, stealing etc) is righteous and has a place in the Kingdom of G-d.
