One of the fantastic differences of Jesus is his ability to give " Freedom;" In latter part of verse 21 of 3rd chapter Philippians: " By the exertion of the power that he has to subject all things to himself." Jesus can free you from being bound by things; Although I do not yet know Jesus, he has graciously granted me freedom from some serious captivity;

I am no longer bound by Alcohol
I am no longer bound by having multiple women in my romance
I am no longer bound by the fragmented doctrines of churchs
I am no longer bound by religious control over my money
I am no longer bound by fist-fighting
I am no longer bound by the incidious doctrine of eternal hell suffering
I am no longer bound by the fear of death
I am no longer bound by plastic image living, I can be myself and be content with that

All these things and more Jesus has done for me, without me even knowing him.

And I got a list longer than this one that I ask him to free me from in the future.

I don't think they understand that I am not in this for credibility, so they can't use that as a threat with me, it does not work. In posting I have no pride that can be broken, and no ego to protect.

The credibility of Jesus is an interesting historical topic. The painstaking effort to remove him from history has utterly failed. His name, no doubt the greatest name in human history, lives on. His legacy is undeniable.

Who tried to remove him from history? That's a new one on me.

It's a little known fact that Jesus was once a carpenter, but due to the influx of cheap illegal immigrant labor, the wages and job opportunities in the Nazarith construction market eventually bottomed out. This forced Jesus into the fishing industry, but that venture also failed due to EPA restrictions requiring dolphine-safe tuna nets.

That's how Jesus eventually ended up getting his gig on the motivational speaking circuit.

And yet the mans name has been spoken by humans more than any other name in history.

He has been written about more than any other characther in history.

He has been drawn by more artist than any other individual in history.

He is adorded more than any human in history.

He certainly out did his speaking gig.

Jesus wasn't actually all that popular while he was alive... or even well known.

He was a pretty small-time player next to John the Baptist.

If it wasn't for Paul and his friends, he wouldn't be considered relevent.

But Paul certainly was a fine publicist, if nothing else.

Paul made the myth of Jesus go viral.
