Well, what is it? I'm curious. I find evidence that stems from the Bible to be more compelling topics of debate than the more superficial things such as evolution, abiogenesis, the big bang, etc./anything scientific or philosophical.

That's like trying to use science to disprove atheism.

But if you want biblical proof against Christianity, start with "In the Beginning" and keep reading. Then watch the Science Channel for an few days and it will disprove itself.

And aside from that, you people don't even practice what Jesus was preaching! Seriously, have you people ever even read the 4 gospels?

The guy was completely disinterested in acquiring personal wealth and/or power, giving great morality lessons like the Good Samaritan, saving hookers from stoning, helping the little people, forgiving sinners and his own executioners while he was dying on the cross!! And the whole time he was challenging the corrupt, bureaucratic and dogmatic institution, not being the institution!!!!

If the Jesus of the bible was running the show, he would have welcomed gay people with open arms, made the only church rules be "love god and love thy neighbor", encouraged science, learning and philosophy, (not to mention carpentry ) been flexible, forgiving and never, EVER been hostile against other people just because they weren't baptized into his particular sect.

Christians today generally fail at being Christians... but it's to be expected, considering they built something completely different than their founder intended.

I don't know what's so hard about citing Biblical verses that may contradict each other or show some illogical statement...but ok....

Jesus would've been the ultimate woodshop teacher. Can you imagine how hard it'd be to get in trouble in his class? He'd always be forgiving ya!

Of course, since Christians have a predetermined conclusion, they'll just find "context" for all these contradictions instead of actually realizing just how flawed their book is, and go on their merry way.

It's all been cited and done before, all you have to do is do a search for the threads containing "biblical contradictions". There was no need to start another thread taunting agnostics/atheists to quote the bible, especially since we don't believe it! Not that we can't, the A/A's here all seem to be pretty well versed in the bible. We're just sick of the same old game. The above "quiz show" pretty much says it all.

... and when you accidentally cut your thumb off on the table saw, he'd just "make it whole" again for ya!

It's an alpha to omega thing with me...

Start with "In the beginning..." and work your way through to Revelation 22:21.

And then, if you really want to have some fun, we can start with the political agendas of Constantine, Justinian, Charlemagne all the way through to western european colonialism. In short, the un-Christian history of Christianity.
