The Judas Priest.
Ministry has been an integral part of many religions, those in front and leading the masses. Yet we live in an age where many have been misled, and I think that has been common throughout history; people just naturally following their leaders. And often these leaders have problems themselves , and if and when these " Priest" are not right, that spirit floats right into their followers. Its just human to have problems and get confused, but when your a leader, your responsibility to the people must come before your personal problems, or at least be kept separate from them. So I wanted to examine this sticky situation of " The Judas Priest", or the religious leader who's problems have caused trouble in the understanding and lives of his people.
Judas Iscariot was the disciple who betrayed Jesus, yet he was personally chosen by Jesus. And his name has become known as treacherous enough to betray a friend, or one who disguises treachery as friendship. You betray them with a kiss. Interesting, showing some emotion even when your self serving and getting someonelse in trouble. And that is the nature of the Judas Priest that I want to look at.
Your a minister, your out in front, you have been chosen by somebody, and yet you got this streak of selfishness in you. You know the people are poor, you know you have some feelings for them, but yet you still want their money. You want that 30 pieces of silver. You have a gift of leadership, you believe; but you like to flirt with mens wives. You do your job in the church, but you like to gamble in secret. You like your position, but your personal lust are interfering with how you teach and lead.
And instead of planting seeds of fruit for growth, your planning to build your own little empire. One that you will rule over. You succeed and now your a pastor of a Mega Church", a Judas Priest, now leading millions of people. Still caught between two worlds; your world and your peoples world.
One of the most important roles of a leader, is to LOVE his people. But the heart of the Judas Priest is confused, now he thinks that he knows whats best for God, for Jesus. And now he thinks he knows whats best for his people.
And now, the damage the Judas Priest has done.

Great band though! (I'm sure you saw that coming sooner or later)
Okay, seriously now...is that actually the origin of that phrase and its meaning: religious leader who's problems have caused trouble in the understanding and lives of his people?

Well its how I am using it in this thread. It probably has multiple origins depending where you look; it can be a " Minced Oath", which has to do with altered expressions; and one can alter it in several ways to picture a meaning. Judas Priest can mean a Priest who has messed up and repented, or killed himself. Ministerial suicide. But I am going at it from a view of a minister who believes, has some feelings for the people, but because of their selfish intentions, the people suffer.
I mean Judas suicide was an act of repentance within itself, but he caused some serious damage. And later I will go into the predestiny involved in all this.

Many of the churches today are rotten to the core. Many preachers are enemies of the cross of Christ (as Paul taught). This doesn't mean all are rotten.
Many ministers preach a god far worse than the heathen's gods. They preach a god who is a failure and a son who only made salvation possible. They preach that Satan is more powerful than God "Satan gets his billions but God His measly few."
The televangelists are the worst . . . robbers and liars . . . promising prosperity if you just give give give.

I agree, they are Judas Priest for sure. Wells without real water, spirits without substance. And thats a major reason why the reputation of God is weak in many areas of human thought.

Listen to this VERY closely; when Jesus called Judas, I think he already knew he would betray him. This means that God himself will call people that he knows will betray him! Think about that, Jesus only does what his Father tells him to do, he said he did " Nothing of himself." So God wanted Judas called to the ministry. Called to disciple. Listen to this, " Called to DECEIVE People!" The Judas Priest was called to deceive humanity, or help do it in a magnificent deception. A Priest, a minister, built up by God to a position of leadership, but a perverted leadership, masked with his own name. This is EXACTLY how many very popular and powerful ministers got their help getting famous and influential.
And I want to go into the surprising ramifications of " The calling of God of the Judas Priest."

In a chess match, you have two opposing sides; this is whats so misunderstood about God! God has actually set up both sides in the match against good and evil, and is manipulating the match. He uses the Judas Priest even in his wrong doing. Judas was called and was being taught by Jesus, conversely God gives certain Judas Priest an amount of talent, gifts and some kind of understanding that propels them upward in the world of men. He then turns them over to Satan, but lets them keep their job as leaders.

It is God who has allowed the confusion to continue, thats why the Judas Priest and scientist have been given authority, to help in the confusion that has been enacted upon humanity. Thats why Atheism will be given authority, to help cover this earth with more confusion.

In John 13:29, Judas was the keeper of the money box for Jesus, this is the actual birth of all prosperity ministries. And its why most of them are Judas Priest. They have been chosen to lead, to carry the money box, and it just went to their greed. They love their people somewhat, but the love of money eventually increased in them, AND their teaching and preaching.
