Dutch millionaire Johan Huibers of the Netherlands has designed and constructed a life-sized model of Noah's Ark which is now open to the public. According to The Christian Post and The Huffington Post, the ark was made as close to the biblical description as possible, with the exception of a steel frame and being made of Swedish pine instead of "gopher wood." It measures 450 feet long (approximately 300 cubits) and took four years to build. It also contains life-size plastic animals.
Great fun. I trust that the accommodation for the plastic replicas of the million or so species and their food and water is also authentically reproduced.

I wonder what bible they consulted? The Chrstian bible? Take it with a grain of salt. Did they consult the Talmud? Did they consult the Midrashim? How about the major rabbaim living today?
I think I'll build a high-rise building. I took a couple of math and science classes in college.
I found it interesting that it has a steel frame and that most people haven't questioned why. After all, if you're going to make a life-size replica of something such as that then you might as well go all the way. The problem with having a frame made of wood (such as the "original") is that it would pretty much snap in half under its own weight because it essentially violates the square-cube law.

And that's probably the best thing that he could find to do with his money. Put a lot of folks to work. I'll bet that most of them thought he was an idiot.
It is still half the length of a decent cruise ship.
