This should not be a problem for Muslims as we view Circumcision a bit different. We have no set age for it but it is often after reaching Puberty and after a boy can recite the entire Qur'an

Contrary to popular belief it is not mandatory for Muslims to be circumcised, although even some Muslims believe it is. but it should be by choice. It is highly encouraged, but is not a religious requirement. Although it can be said we SHOULD do so as verification we are sincere about following Islam and do follow the teachings of Muhammad(PBUH)

Belonging

For the majority of Muslims, circumcision is seen as an introduction to the Islamic faith and a sign of belonging.
In Islam there is no fixed age for circumcision. The age at which it is performed varies depending on family, region and country.

So it is perfectly fine to temporarily alter god's work, just not permanently?

Since I don't subscribe to god or her works, I really have no answer.

I'm just glad I'm not Jewish or Muslim. My boys junk is intact. I'm also thankful I'm not in Africa and as a woman my junk is intact. lol
Mutilation to show affection for a God seems odd to me but then again I can see how it flies. People will gather on mountains and kill themselves and their kids for alien comings. We are a funny animal, that's for sure.

From the same article
"We have no right as parents or as physicians or adults to strap them down and chop off a normal part of their body. To do that is a human rights violation and an ethical travesty," says Georgeanne Chapin of the anti-circumcision group Intact America.

Chapin and other critics argue that the scientific evidence is questionable. For one thing, the studies about HIV have only been done in Africa, where AIDS is much more common among heterosexuals.

"They're cherry-picking their evidence," she says. "They act as though there's this huge body of literature. It's all the same couple of studies that have been regurgitated and reprogrammed. Over the past 150 years, all kinds of medical benefits have been proposed as resulting from cutting off the foreskin, and they have all been disproven."

Critics also question the safety of the procedure, saying too many boys are damaged for life by botched circumcisions.

Male and female circumcision are NOT even close to the same thing.

MOST parents in the fifties and sixties(and earlier) circumcised regardless of religion, it was done for health reasons.
My brother born in 1949 was cut, I was born 1962 and was too.
