Even more so to know that the parables of Buddha were written some 500 B.C, IF you can aside your religious biased ideas. Sorry but in all reality Paganism is the world oldest religion. The oldest written text is Hinduism much, much older then the bible is.
Sorry reed...The Epic of Gilgamesh is the oldest written story on Earth. It comes to us from Ancient Sumeria, and was originally written on 12 clay tablets in cunieform script. It is also the story from which the bible syncretized their story of Noah.

The very fact that Jesus was made into a demi-god by Paul and his Gentile Hellenistic acolytes is enough to prove that Christianity is a pagan-based religion. Comparison to other pagan deities is not necessary. The "Jewish Christians" of the time did not see Jesus as a god of any kind as "God is One". That is an indisputable fact (even though the Fundamentalist/Evangelicals will never believe it).

Before that the events of the Bible took place.

Jesus is God. He wasn't "turned into a demi-god" by anyone. He always has been and always will be God. The pagan religions were inspired by Christianity, if anything.

I'm speaking of religous text here not a story.

I'm assuming that you believe that the world is only 6,000 years old as well.

And I suppose you can provide facts to support that assertion, that doesn't come from something with the "King James Version" written on it?

Lol... I find this amusing since the Pagans were deceitful liars, who made up false holidays and rituals. Christianity comes in various forms, most of which have been perverted. But I will stick with the version that appears to be fulfilling scriptural prophesy, rather than whimsical human theory.

Right after you provide me some original documents of Mithra dated around 3000 BC

Actually his divinity was is question until the matter was settled by the Romans at the Council of Nicea. The Romans, along with other gentile churches such as the Church of Alexandria, declared Jesus to be divine. The Church of Jerusalem and Church of Antioch disagreed vehemently. You don't have to believe that, but it doesn't change the fact that Christianity as we know it is a Roman gentile hellenized Pauline construct. Believe what you will though; I honestly don't care.
