Cool mini-series, regardless of whether you believe or not. Check it out

Watching it right now. Moves forward rather quickly, but is interesting.

Yeah, it would have been nice to see the Jacob Esau reunion, but in the context of a mini-series, parts are going to be left out.

EDIT: Damn, there's an entire discussion going on in the TV subforum. I'll probably head over that way

I had Sunday night church activities to go to...I'll have to catch the re-broadcast at 11. I'm going to reserve judgment until I see it...but I'm honestly going to be a bit skeptical until I see it.

I was disappointed that they decided to equate God with Jesus so early in the show. I was hoping they would wait to do it until they actually got to the Christian Bible, but oh well.

They know their audience and played to it.

It's a train-wreck. I will not be recommending it to my congregation.

Do you often tell them what they should and should not watch? (Cloaked in the word "recommend".) You watched it and made a decision. Why shouldn't they?

I'm their spiritual leader--they look to me for guidance. I lead them in worship every weekend, and I preach a 30 minute sermon telling them what the Bible says. No...I don't control their lives, but if someone comes to me to ask me about it, I will not recommend it. Nor will I publicly state it was worth watching.
