Default God's Attitude

The issue of sin was settled, it is a son issue today, not a sin issue. Will man accept what Jesus Christ accomplished or will they reject it, the son is the issue with God today. Godís attitude of love forces no one to take him at his word. God gives all the choice to accept what Christ accomplished on their behalf today, or to reject it. God purchased man out of sins dominion never to be returned to the market place of sin again. By removing the sin issue from the table of Godís justice, God effectively canceled Satanís ownership of all mankind. Reconciliation has to do with Godís justice being satisfied for sins, reconciliation is a sin issue. The just do, in fact, live by faith, but it is not their sinless lives that allow them to be called just; they do not live sinless lives. True faith is believing that God raised Christ from among the dead, thus, because of the resurrection of Christ, those who believe in what Jesus accomplished are secure in their redemption.

So, in your mind, the all-powerful God must have given mankind to Satan. Then God sent himself (Jesus) as a sacrifice to himself as redemption for breaking the laws that He made. And you want us to have faith in this?

Oh, that's interesting. The Buddha never performed a blood ritual through human sacrifice in order to commit suicide and thus forgive all the beings that exist (the way they are) out of His will anyway.

And as I remember: Allah, god of the Jews and Israel according to the Muslims, never did such a thing either... he forgives as he did always, through loyalty and lawfulness... No reason for God to change his ways... that would be "inconsistency."

And as I remember: Vishnu, creator and sustainer of all cosmos according to the Hindus, might have done such a thing if Jesus was an avatar of Him... yet he saves as he always did, through devotion and love... No reason for God to do it another way, that would be "unnecessary".

Hmm, it's like thanking someone who cut you in order to sell you a bandage.

Inn't Org-Religion so wunnerphull?

In the Lawrence Welk sense I suppose it is.. "Ah-wunnerful, ah-wunnrphul. And now, we'll have The Lovely Lennon sisters sing for you!"

I just love proselytizing posts, huh?

Default God's Attitude

Bible school time... gather 'round children!

Let us read 1 Corinthians 2:11:

"For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God."

What have we learned today? That we should all pretend to know what god is thinking and call it "truth"! Also, that hypocrisy is fun!

OP, this is your idea of what faith is. Mine is following the Golden Rule and the 10 commandments, one of which is that you should not worship other gods. There is one God and to worship Jesus would be breaking a very important and crucial commandment. Those with true faith realize that God would not have appeared as a man to convince people to believe in him. Jesus was the son of God as all men are the son of God, no more and no less.
