Galileo was absolutely a man of God ! What make's you think he was not a believer? If you go against the established church, that doesn't mean you don't believe in God. He wasn't martyred by the way; he sensibly backed down from the papist church's ultimatum.

Gap theory? That is no theory, unlike evolution which is....I suggest that you look up what theory mean in science.

Sans has already refuted this. Evolution is provable, your "theory" is an exercise in conjecture.

Still if the claim had any validity, there should be no problem for "christian scientists" to unearth a 6000 yo fossils of A&E?

Actually, scientists have some idea how old the earth is. But congrats on figuring out that the bible is FOS.

The hell?

We can certainly fathom your god. It is human beings, after all, who made him up.

Every scientist back then had to swear belief in the church, or they all faced imprisonment, poverty, persecution, or death. Most, if not all, didn't believe any of the silly supersitions, however.

I can only prove that the world is 35 years old. My mom says that it existed before I was born - but I have my doubts.

If your mother says she loves you, check your sources.

If you doubt that much why don't you doubt your own memories of the last 35 years? How do you know you weren't born last week with false memories of a 35 years that never happened?
