I liked it. My church made it into a study. Good stuff. Faith affirming.
Pick up a copy and see what you think.
I have purchased every good used copy I can find and have been giving them away. I really liked it and will start reading it again August 1 but this time I am going to read it and do the study guide as well.
Harrier received it as a gift from a person who lived out of state and read nearly the entire book during a three hour flight in anticipation of being asked about what he had learned.
The book was very interesting, and is spot on in many areas, but it really does need to be read incrementally and over time.
I not only refused to read it, I shelved it, and I think either donated it or gave it back to him.
It was a heavy-handed gift, just by the title.
Human beings are given free will by God for a reason. It's so they can come up with a purpose. Not so we can live according to some arbitrary one that was "planned" for us. What nonsense.

Thank you for posting. This book just like any other book or anything else is definitely not for everyone.
I enjoyed it and my husband did as well.
I did not find any "do this, do that" in the book at all. To me it is more expansion or I should say further expansion or the Bible and God's word. It is also a personal challenge to oneself to explore deeper into their beliefs in my opinion.
