Think of it as a lottery where the odds of the OT interpretation being correct are 50 billion to one and the odds of a modern guess being correct are only a billion to one. Even if the modern guess may be seen as 50 times more likely, it still has just once chance in a billion of being correct.

And of course we do not even have the means to set such odds because we cannot know how preposterous our modern day guesses will appear to future generations who are less ignorant than we are now.
I long ago grew weary of playing guessing games. A god worth knowing will unmistakably reveal itself. That god is always depicted as so coy is another human invention, designed to dismiss valid objections to believing in the invisible and ineffable.

Mordant, but isn't God coy?
He created this mechanism in us that had sunglasses on or veil
between us and Him....no?
I mean I get it is paperchains....but if "He" was not coy...what would there be to
The Dance?

I say believe what you want if it makes you happy...in the moment....if men should wear funny
hats and robes or you must have 4 shots of Jack everyday.
I sure don't care.
Believe in God, don't believe in God....
Just do something, figure out a way to be happy, contented, at peace, satisfied,
Speak about how you found that peace....but don't push it or expect it to suit someone
else as it has you.

The funny thing is we have looked everywhere but the obvious place to find God.
