What have you never heard of the historian Josephus? He was a secular writter and he confirmed his life, saying "... and about this time came Jesus of nazareth performing miracles...."

You should do your homework. Only one is required to prove his existance, but the gospels even though they are written by his followers point to his existence. The details that are reccorded in the gospels is too detailed to be made up and is confirmed by other means.

Also the lack of documentation at the time refuting the belief in Christ sheds light to his existance. The fact is that us humans have a tendancy to report things even the bad, so why is there no documentation saying that the diciples were lying? Why isn't there some evidence to the opposite. Since there is none this further supports his existance.
Josephus is a forgery. Please stop.

Most people goto this tactic because its the easiest one to say. Which might work with people who dont know any better, but I see through it.
The bible has the most targetted book and scrutiny in history, and it has always held water and stood its ground.
I dont fall prey to other peoples quick assumptions, and regurgitate it over and over again.
It has not stood any tests. It is proven to have been mistranslated. Above and beyond which, the language it was written in is virtually impossible to translate into modern language.

The whole world knows of Christianity and the gospel of Christ. It is written in Luke 12: 3: "Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops."

A tree is not silly, the noise it makes is not silly. It is the questioning whether it makes a noise when it falls that is silly.

There is evidence of Jesus' life it is called the new testament. He was influential look around... there is a Christian Church on every corner, a bible in every hotel room, a missionary to every area of every country in the world. I think that is an influence.
I agree with you Nikk. He does! http://www.jesuz.com/Jesus-christ_1.jpg

There were four books written on his life, and a church that was founded on his name. The textual dependability of the New Testament is unquestionable. Anyone that challenges it really has no idea.

People willingly gave their lives not for what they were taught about the guy--but based on what they saw OF him.

"You want to hold the intangible, to fashion the dark into familiar shapes. To see with your eyes, know with your mind. O ye of so little faith;

Only the heart can hold the intangible."

I suggest that anyone who believes that might check on when the four books were actually written.

Regarding Nikk's statement about Josephus...

The brief account of Josephus referring to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is at best a highly interpolated account, and at worst an absolute forgery, and was written in the year 93 AD.

The original manuscripts of Josephus do not exist. More importantly, we do not have a single extant copy that was not written by Christian scribes many centuries later. The importance of this point should not be underestimated. If the history of Christian Europe shows us anything it is that the Christian church was willing to do just about anything to promote the prosperity and growth of their religion. People were murdered, books were burned, temples were sacked, and manuscripts were forged. These are the historical facts, and they are indisputable.

No. Really. You're full of hot air.

Do a little research before spouting off, will you?

The Bible is really an amazing work.
