Good Idea!!! But how many years does it take for fossilization to happen???

Certainly less than 6000 years..

How long it takes depends on environment and circumstances. Sea creatures deposited on a mountain top (for example), would probably never fossilize.

What's more important is how old a fossil is, and fortunately it is fairly easy to accurately date them. There aren't very many in the 6000 year range, and those that do exist are of contemporary organisms.

Perhaps that was too broad a statement. Maybe I should have said I would like to be put into a close picture perfect scenario where fossilization would take place.

You had me pegged the first time. I agree that this world is billions of years old. Anyone who can't see that must have his/her head in the sand.

I do like the fossilization idea. just put me in a chamber with some rocks/gravel and stuff, then pressurize the chamber like they do when they create artificial gem stones. This will cause heat and dryness and POOF! We can become fossils. It won't be that hard but possibly expensive.
