Hi,
Isn't the Bible the only scripture where this eating of the Tree
of Good and Evil ( or is it the Tree of Knowledge), found...
...Aka this Garden story of the Fall of Man....the disobeying of God?
Is a first couple that sinned in the Koran or the Bhagavad Gita?
I don't even know all the Scriptures from around the world.
Thanks

The Hindu legend approaches very nearly to that preserved in the Hebrew scriptures. Thus, it is said that Siva, as the Supreme Being, desired to tempt Brahma (who had taken human form), and for this object he dropped from heaven a blossom of the sacred fig-tree. Brahma, instigated by his wife, Satarupa, endeavors to obtain this blossom, thinking its possession will render him immortal and divine; but when he has succeeded in doing so, he is cursed by Siva, and doomed to misery and degradation. Mr. Hardwicke, when commenting on this tradition, adds that the sacred Indian fig is endowed by the Brahmans and Buddhists with mysterious significance, as the tree of knowledge or intelligence.
^^Thanks, I wasn't aware of that particular Hindu legend.
There is hardly any aspect of Judeo-Christianity that doesn't have some parallel in Hinduism. Even the concept of God coming to earth as a man to sacrifice himself, endure suffering and to save people from their sins is found in Hinduism.
The philosophy of life eternal, defeating and championing death. The philosophy of being in communion with his spirit is the same as the Hindus doing it with any given deity. When you take in the spirit of Jesus and live the philosophy, you essentially become a Buddha, and live the exact same philosophies of Buddha. The totem animal that Jesus experienced with the Dove is the exact teachings of many other religions.

Is the Christian doctrine an original teaching revealed by Jesus and his apostles, or did many of its tenants exist 500 years earlier in Hindu scriptures?
In this thought provoking booklet, George Wolfe reveals that many themes central to Christianity, including the teachings of death and resurrection, and freedom from sin as gained through the incarnate Lord, can be found in Hinduism's Upanishads, a series of East Indian texts dealing with spiritual enlightenment. The author also presents the story of Nachiketa from the Katha Upanishad which may have been the inspiration for important ideas and events depicted in the gospels.
While some Christians may view these discoveries as undermining the validity of Christian doctrine, Dr. Wolfe takes a surprisingly different view that the gospel message is actually meant to be far more universal and culturally embracing than anyone previously has dreamed.
Someone on this site posted about an ancient Egyptian deity the gave eternal life to those that worshipped him. Jesus is just another deity that represents the whole idea of dying and coming back to life, and be used by a follower to be in communion with the deity and die spiritually and come back to life spiritually reborn, as that is what the deity represents. You can also be in communion with Jesus and meditate, just as that is also in communion with the Buddha, because that is what the deity of the Buddha represents, as well as many other deities from all walks of life.

I was hoping maybe you, or the poster I responded to would actually provide a link to some documentation showing that the story of Adam and Eve was taught by another religion prior to the Bible. Do you not have that?
