Clearly being locked in the Ice ever since the Flood -waters froze some 8,000 years ago has altered the DNA so it gives a false reading. Either than or someone jogged the DNA measuring device. Perhaps Satan. he's always good for tempting doubters into disbelief.
Come on Arq, it wasn't the flood, it was the fall of man that just made all of creation look old and give false readings.

Years ago I asked a creationists that believed the universe to be 6000 - 10,000 year old to explain why we could see stars where the light had traveled millions of years, or even billions of years to get here?

ok, if your using a telescope doesnt this bring your vision closer. And when a light is turned on can't you see it instantly? Sure, the light may travel at a speed but my eye can see instantly, especially if I bring my eye closer to what I'm looking at. Think about it. Does it take light years for your eye to see millions of lightyears away? Of course not. It's pretty instantly, as soon as you put your eye up to it. Do you see the light now?

There isn't anything to be open-minded about in science. It is either validated or not. If it is challenged it must be verified by others. It is the Creationist nonsense that is fixed in concrete minds allowing no knowledge to penetrate that refutes the closed-minded dogma. It is a travesty of dishonesty masquerading as faith in God.
The same could certainly be said of many of the things science takes for granted.
Science take nothing for granted....It must be religion you are talking about......
