Come on Arq, it wasn't the flood, it was the fall of man that just made all of creation look old and give false readings.

Sometimes the lack of knowledge demonstrated by creationists just leaves me sitting and blinking and trying to comprehend the sincere ignorance I have just been witness to.

Years ago I asked a creationists that believed the universe to be 6000 - 10,000 year old to explain why we could see stars where the light had traveled millions of years, or even billions of years to get here?

Their response: (warning this will hurt your head)

wow, am I really about to respond to this? whew

ok, if your using a telescope doesnt this bring your vision closer. And when a light is turned on can't you see it instantly? Sure, the light may travel at a speed but my eye can see instantly, especially if I bring my eye closer to what I'm looking at. Think about it. Does it take light years for your eye to see millions of lightyears away? Of course not. It's pretty instantly, as soon as you put your eye up to it. Do you see the light now?

I didn't even have to pray about this one. wow.

I am glad I visited the forum though, as it would be a shame to have something like this defying the Living God.

And thank you. You've brought this thread right where it needs to be. I bless you in the name of Yahushua... So Be It.
Sometime the ignorance is so pure to be beyond comprehension. How does someone that thinks this way get through high school, or even get their GED.

Ouch!! Easy now. That indeed was painful. It made me embarrassed for mankind. We see light from millions of light years away instantly? OMG!!!

It's playing the Light-created-in-transit card.

Crazy is as crazy does.

Very sad that people truly still think that way.

Wow.

Why would some who advocate that creation is 6000 years old define Genesis for all.

Genesis does not tell us when "in the beginning" was.

You got that straight, nor is it correct about the process.
