I have always found this to be mystery, and while I doubt anyone knows for sure, I would like to hear some opinions here.

Think about the timeframe the bible was written. Planets werent even discovered until 500+ years after. How are the human writers of the bible supposed to know about the universe?

While the writers of the Bible knew nothing of the Universe, of physics and astronomy, they certainly lived within the realm of myth and superstition relating to the pseudo-science of Astrology. The Bible is full of astrological symbolism and shows a certain influence of it on the mythology of the time.

What are you referring to with "mythology?"

Short answer... it's not important enough 'cause all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

If your breathing, you’re a seeker. God has given us instruction for many things but so much of His creation remains undiscovered. What would our lives be like if we knew everything?... well first off, we'd elevate ourselves to deities. So IMO… God gives us mysteries to discover, strive for, explain, which gives us a humbled but enthused spirit, as we learn about our universe.

Look at a child who discovers something for the first time…. It will all make sense and make you smile. Be a seeker and make God smile.

...just sayin'

You do understand that the Mazzaroth aka the Gospel in the Stars(ZODIAC) was created by God? As were all the stars. The Zodiac is not for mans personal future, but it tells us the story of Christ. The circle of life.

Job 9:6-9
6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
7 Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
KJV
Job 38:31-33
31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
KJV
Isa 13:10
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
KJV
2 Kings 23:5
5 And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
KJV

The human eye could not see the other planets, but how did Job know that the earth was suspended? The answer is that God reveals what we need to know that is why the Scriptures are GOD BREATHED and not man's knowledge.
Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
KJV

You mean you can't see Venus or Mars? And the fact they move in the sky differently from the constellations such as Orion?

Really?

This is how the ancient Hebrew people thought their "Universe" was stuctured:
