The Catholic Church is about the last organization that is against abortion and gay marriage. They will get the heat for it. I hope this doesn't come here but I think if it does the police will step in to control it. Seems the Argentina police didn't want to do anything because they were women, if you can call them that. I saw many men with them though.

This has been going on since '08 or before. Go to Youtube so see other videos of past years.

Yes, Janelle. You can call them women. That's what they are.

I watched a couple of videos of the event. All I saw were men linking arms. Why were there no women joining in on the protection of the church?

The REAL women were inside the church praying. The REAL men were outside protecting the church and praying.

whatever.

I choose not to judge these women

I live in a country that understands a woman's right to her body includes pre, during & post pregnancy. I can't say how I would react if I were in that position.

Whatever. They have no right to vandalize a church. You don't understand that? Having some respect for themselves would also help a lot.

I wouldn't vandalise a church - as I live in a country where antiquated organisations don't interfere with law. Or if they try ~ they don't get very far. I choose to not judge nor label these women.

The response to these disgraceful acts is not for people of faith to begin shouting "Keep your ovaries off our rosaries" in response, but for responsible leaders in the global women's movement like Gloria Steinem, a recent recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama, to calmly explain that such tactics do not advance the women's movement nor do they helpfully promote the cause for which they advocate.
Quite right.

On the bright side, at least they've refrained from the assorted shootings and bombings (resulting in several deaths), arsons, and miscellaneous vandalisms common in anti-abortion violence in the United States and elsewhere by anti-abortion terrorists.

Did you know that a group of ultra-traditional Catholics recently disrupted the annual service in Buenos Aires to honor the victims of Kristallnacht? It's attended by Jews, Catholics and Protestants. The group shouted the rosary in the middle of an inter-faith service to honor the victims of that horrible night. They were upset that Jews were in a Catholic church. Among other things.

The service is one of Pope Francis' favorites. And a a group of Catholics chose to dishonor the memories of men and women who were murdered by the Nazi's by the millions. That's much more disgusting to me than a group of women baring their breasts and making a group of men uncomfortable.

Your thoughts? If you, or anyone else, posted videos on CD of a group of Argentine Catholics shouting the rosary during a service to honor murdered Jews I've missed it.

Argentine Anti-Semitic Attack: Catholics interrupt Kristallnacht memorial in Buenos Aires Cathedral - YouTube
They say two wrongs don't make a right. In effect this is the 'You too' fallacy. But I do feel that a tuo quoque is justified if one side is trying claim high moral ground when they act in a reprehensible manner themselves.
