Funny how god went from being this lawful authoritative hater of all sin and immorality? I mean how do you go from burning down cities because of the people's sexual immoralities to practically being non existent.Did god all of sudden be able to stomache sin and evil when at first his position was to destroy it completely. How can he live in and amongst people who are dirty an sinful and still claim to be pure?

He's still angry and willing to pour out his wrath on sinners. You and me included. Thankfully, though, I'm clean and righteous in his sight because I've got the righteousness of Jesus credited to me. What are you going to do on judgment day?

LOL! Yeah ... because no one seemed to give a damn when Lot offered to shove his two virgin daughters out to the crowd. And THIS was the man God saved. Based on that, I don't think God was much of a hater of all sin; apparently he didn't mind letting two innocent women be raped and butched by this bloodthirsty crowd.
A bloodthirsty crowd which, by some strange happenstance ALL knew about those angels in Lot's house. Few Christians ever really think about the details. Just how would two, count 'em, two entire cities know who was visiting Lot? They didn't even have texting or iphones back then to spread the word - yet if you believe the Bible, all of these people showed up to Lot's house for no apparent reason.
And seriously, the idea that *everyone* was sinning is just nonsense. I can just see it now, these two infants fornicating in their cradles. Sin! I tell ya, those babies are sinning so wipe 'em out! Or someone's 95 year-old grandmother is limping over to Lot's house hoping to get a piece of the sexual Olympics going on in front of Lot's house.
I believe the theologians who say that the story is an allegory highlighting the importance of hospitality, which is a deadly serious matter in the Middle East. All of this nonsense about homosexuality and fornication is just a sideshow - but thanks to the Christian preoccupation with sex, they zeroed right to the sex and failed to understand the desert culture of hospitality.

The Nazis killed SIX MILLION people.
Was he not angry at that? Why didn't he pour out his wrath on the murderers (that's a sin for the people in the cheap seats) of six million people? Had he poured out his wrath in, say, 1942, Ann Frank would still be alive. Along with millions of other innocent other people. I'll await your answer since you recently confirmed you know how God thinks.

What judgement who is in position to judge? Where is this jesus christ?
s he in some wonderful place full of love with his heart bleeding for us while he sits and watches the evil and hate that plague us daily.Dont tell me he can dodo all things and loves us sinners but still does nothing to create positive change globally or in our personal lives.on judgement day i will be asking him these questions and many more all he can do is give us a spirit and change us so we can better deal with his failures to us.

The point of the story is that the Ammonites and the Moabites are descended from a couple of in-bred bastards. Really. Read the story to the end. Everything is a set-up to get Lot and his daughters alone in the cave where the daughters get their father drunk and have sex with him to get pregnant. The last verse tells how their sons from this union were the seeds of those nations, obviously people not in good standing with the storyteller.

I dunno, maybe they owed him some money? A few sheckels on the vig? Work with me....work with me....
Yes. He was. I'm quite certain that without Christ, Hitler was sent straight to hell for it.

He will.
But since we're on that note..do you feel as strongly about the fact that the United States routinely kills hundreds of thousands of babies every year? Do you think he should judge our country now for that?
Vizio, is there anything that God believes that you disagree with? I am not asking if you are in defiance of God's will but if there is any place where you have to bend your belief(s) and do what God says is right rather than what you feel and believe internally?
