Emotional maturity does NOT come automatically with chronological age. There are many abreactional adolescents even well into their dotage. It is one of humanity's worse failings.

Not only killing for no reason but enjoying doing so. Either our OP is playing for reactions or he needs help - before we hear about him gunning down all his classmates!

Love your response, Trout. That's how I feel about the subject.

Yes, I too agree if done with wrong intent it would be wrong.
After all, only human life was offered everlasting life, so why cut short the life of lower-life forms for No good reason.

When I was in summer camp in August 1972, when I was 15 I had my first "sort-of" girlfriend, a mature almost-13 year old. She got very upset about my swatting flies when we took a trip in the back of a truck.

yeah, I tend to agree, to normal people killing bugs isn't a problem. killing them for fun or no reason might be an indicator of an issue.

Anyone who believes humans are just animals would be committing mass murder if you exterminate insects and you also support slavery if you pay money to visit a zoo.

Thankfully, we are not animals so there is no moral conflict with killing animals out of necessity because they have no soul and are cursed to die anyways like us. If you distill our live here in quantitative measurement of suffering then such killing could be justified if the species is causing suffering to the greater population.
