If believers in Jesus' divinity hold closest to themselves his essential message of love and compassion, I'd consider his ministry a success - at least for them.
I think it's also a success when someone's* life is made better because a Christian lives that message
Jesus managed to perform miracles on behalf of YHWH, Moses, and the doctrine of terrorism that condemned even him to death. The result of this has been the creation of Islam, the spreading of slavery and terrorism, and the hatred and mass murders of all people of all other religions, and gay people.
So you have to ask yourself this : is this what Jesus was going for? If YES, then his ministry succeeded in accomplishing his goals.
