Heaven is better than this world, correct?
If Jesus has already died for your sins, there is no more struggle for you and you are guaranteed to be "saved" then what's the point of living in the world anymore?
Why not pray to have your life ended ASAP so you could enter into eternal bliss of paradise? How strong is your faith to put it to such a test?

This is a ridiculous thread but I will answer it anyway, because Christians like to have families, we want to share the gospel with others, we like to worship with each other in the Body of Christ, we enjoy things that God has created and we feel that we are with God all of the time. Sure life will be more wonderful when we meet our CREATOR one day but until we have things on Earth to do first.

I don't find this to be a strong argument against Christianity.
21 For me to live is Christ [His life in me], and to die is gain [the gain of the glory of eternity].
22 If, however, it is to be life in the flesh and I am to live on here, that means fruitful service for me; so I can say nothing as to my personal preference [I cannot choose],
23 But I am hard pressed between the two. My yearning desire is to depart (to be free of this world, to set forth) and be with Christ, for that is far, far better;
24 But to remain in my body is more needful and essential for your sake.

Because we believe God has a purpose for each individual and we should strive to seek and fulfill that purpose. That purpose could be placing you at the right time and right place to cross paths with someone who is lost and unsaved.

We are given a command from our Lord Jesus Christ to teach the Gospel to all the nations of the world. It is our responsibility to give as many others the chance for salvation as possible. That work never ends. We stay for others.

How...commendable.
In a really obnoxious, insufferable, holier-than-thou way.

For one....God has given me a desire to live.
Not to mention the fact that I have a wife and kids I'd rather not leave behind.
And then there's the idea that God has given us the command to share the Gospel and glorify him. I've got plenty to do before I die.

So almost all replies so far subtly deny that this life is a punishment of God. Is that correct?
