when we fail to discipline we turn cute little monkeys into big aggressive apes who love go get into monkey business. sooner or later we are going to call someone with a gun to come over and deal with that ape. when we do--- we see a remake of planet of the apes.

How about you spank yourself for leaving matches lying around where a 3 year old could get to them.
Still wondering why you're making this about spanking the 3 year old if you were the one careless enough to leave the matches in his/her reach. I mean, at the very least, an apology is in order.

At the very least, he should have spanked the kid before he played with the matches, as a precaution!
Spanking after the kid probably already scared himself half to death was a punishment rather than a learning experience.
Maybe a spanking session could be held every morning as a daily 'lesson' in what not to do.

Well if you read carefully enough, which you didn't, I was that 3-year-old child who played with the matches,my father warned not to play with them and I was punished(SPANKING). The thing was I disobeyed, yea my father probably should have hid the matches better but that is beside the point.

Why does this sound like the way 'somebody' else operates that's discussed so much on this forum?
Punishing the 'children' for what the 'creator' was responsible for.

We are given choices in this life, parents love their children as well as God but we can't let wrongdoings go unpunished, I made the wrong choice, I disobeyed, yes God created me but I am responsible for my own actions and I paid the consequences.
