And yet, they do so in palatial thirty-million-dollar cathedrals, wearing suits that cost more than my twelve-hundred dollar computer, in a country that not only allows them to gather without fear of arrest or censure, but actively protects their right to believe as they wish.

They would have us think, however, that the entire secular world is out to get them (and only them, if the propaganda is to be believed). They would rather play the 'victim' card, enticing their followers to donate just a few more dollars so 'the fight can go on'.

They have no idea what 'persecution' really means.

Yes many complainers, because the majority of mankind is being blinded by satan' illusions. Most teachers( spiritual) fit this-2Cor 11:12-15--ear ticklers for the tithe.

Hmmm.... So a bunch of college students are being told they can't discriminate and some Conservative Christians think that's a problem.

I'm not a bit surprised.

This is what occurs------Gods will----- the nations hand over power to the 7 headed beast with 10 horns( united nations)( for one hour it says( a short time) and it says God will put it into their hearts to do away with Babylon the great( worldwide false religions=99% of them)
Gods word teaches( the very next prophecy to occur) --- whenever they are saying peace and security--sudden destruction will be upon them( Babylon the great)

Revelation teaches--like a swift pitch into the sea, with a millstone around her neck, never to be again. Exposed and stripped of all her fleshy parts( wealth, land holdings, treasures)And we know its religion because it says--the merchants stand at a distance and mourn these events--Why? because their shelves are stocked full( no more religious holidays) = devastation on world economies a great loss of jobs( this is the start of the tribulation( the locking of the ark door-per-se)

these events are next( fall of Babylon)--culminating in this very sad scenario for mankind--rev 16--With 3 inspired expressions, satan misleads EVERY kingdom( govt, armies, supporters) on earth to stand in opposition to God at harmageddon. I say it will be like after 9/11--govt and media filled peoples hearts with patriotism,hatred---I say 99% will fall. the result= Daniel 2:44

I sure feel sorry for some people, burdened with ridiculous, pessimistic beliefs. How sad their realities have become.

Nobody is restricting your freedom to practice your religion. You are free to be Christian, and you're free to shout it from the rooftops if you'd like.

Your religion is not 'under attack'; the only 'restriction' I can see is that Christians are not allowed to be the only religion practiced in the United States of America.

Your entire argument is based on the premise that 'equality = hostility', which is a fallacious statement from the outset.

Everyone
in the US shares the same freedoms. Everyone. It's not some giant 'Christians-Only' club, however much the Rabid Right wishes it to be.

You left out the part about taking the ring back to the fires of Mount Doom in Mordor.

I had some trouble figuring out exactly what you were trying to say... But it's a little clearer after some time away.

The early Jewish denomination of Jesus followers were called Nazarenes, not just the people of Nazareth. (That's probably separate from when Samson took the Nazarite vow to let his hair grow and not partake of alcohol.) The religion of Jesus was called Judaism... although back then religions didn't really have names, so every religions was it's own "way." The people of Nazareth started disliking their town being labeled as fringe Judaism, so Jesus believers were urged to find a new name.

Christian started as a term to denote their political leanings (hinting their loyalty). Very quickly, Jews labeled Christianity as a great apostasy, which mistranslated and edited and relabeled the Tanekh to fit their heretical preferences and personal needs.

Also, taxes belong to The People, as is supposed of the Three Branches of Government.

That's what I remember from my previous research long ago. But the point was that you were wrong about the character of Jesus you have in your mind matching the character of Jesus portrayed in the four gospels that Ireneaus' ridiculous logic canonized. Although, at the end of the day, you could still find one or another mental gymnastic to maintain your view and make it fit the letter.

How ironic considering Lord of the Rings is well established fiction taking inspiration from Christianity.

If we are free to shout it from the rooftops then why do atheists get all up in arms if a teacher in school wants to display a Bible verse? Apparently that freedom has borders.
