Has anyone heard of Ray Hagins, an Afro-Centric teacher (in St. Louis or Chicago, I think)
There're lots of videos on YouTube.
I've only seen a few. Basically I guess he believes African Americans have been sold a bill of goods -- hoodwinked by a Jesus-centered Christianity. To be honest, his tapes and teachings seem to be more anti-Christianity -- than about what he's FOR, or what he believes....other than Christianity hasn't done black people any favors.
He DOES give lots of historic refrences. And he does quote lots of sources OTHER than the Bible. And he also uses the Bible to point out apparent inconsistencies with in it. He talks -- SOMEwhat about ancient Kemetic peoples being 'spiritual' and having their own modes of worship -- until Europeans came and convinced them that Jesus was the only way. And he DOES tell people to do their OWN spiritual and historic research and come to their own conclusions. But most of his time is spent 'debunking' Christianity. he says the Bible is a bunch of made up stories -- made up out of whole cloth like fairy tales....with the INTENT of controlling people and societies.
Just curious -- IF you've heard of Ray Hagins -- what you think?
