Sounds like Pharoh did a good job of hardening his own heart.
As I recall it was God who hardened Pharaoh's heart to ensure that there had to be punishments. Ex 7.3 - right from the start God intended to Harden Pharaoh so that he would not listen. Why do you rewrite, misunderstand and misrepresent the Bible? The answer to your question is that the priests said this in order to get the people to do what they wanted. They, just as you, were misrepresenting the story for their own ends. In any case, the story is not very believable.

P.s I'm glad you are still around - I thoroughly enjoyed our earlier exchanges.

I really don't understand why all the atheists won't accept Jesus as their savior and become Christians .

Let's see...."Hey you, non-Christian, please accept Jesus as your Savior. He's a God of looooooove. He loves you so. And if you don't, then He'll give you a disease that cause you to vomit, have diarrhea and pretty much bleed from every orifice until you die a slow, painful death. And when that's over, then you'll burn in everlasting HAIL (hell) and be tortured for all eternity."

I just don't understand why they don't want to follow Jesus.

We've done such a good job of representing Him.

I don't see a difference between the moron mentioned in the OP and the Westboro idiots.

It's because he probably assumes that Ebola works like HIV/AIDS.

What do you mean? HIV/AIDS is not a homosexual disease, it is contracted by heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, even some people who have never had sex at all.

I know all of this. The statement that I replied to actually refers to more than just homosexuals but rather any form of sexual activity considered outside of the moral norm by the Christian authorities.

Since AIDS is considered a sexually transmitted disease it has long been associated by christian fundamentalists as God's answer sexually provocative lifestyles, ignoring the fact that even a chaste person can contract it in a blood transfusion. Technically AIDS is a bloodborne pathogen but the most common method of transmission happens to be sexually. I personally think that alot of them think that the two diseases are transmitted in the exact same manner.

I was wondering why your god is punishing the people in Africa, if this about Americans sins? So far the only two Americans who have Ebola are heterosexual Christians, not homosexual atheists who watch porn while having abortions.

Seems your god isn't so good at punishing the object of his scorn.
Sounds like god needs a geography lesson.

God is not watching you and punishing people ("in his own way/time") who do bad things.
Life is often a crapshoot, you don't get rewarded either. Sorry.

“If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God. If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper.”
Those are direct quotations. They seem pretty clear and unambiguous to me.

In what way do you think Right Wing Watch has twisted his words?
I agree, his meaning is quite clear.

Test it. Expose his congregation to Ebola placing them under quarantine. Don't offer any treatment. Those who have the "blood of Jesus" will easily be sorted from the others. Those who die are homosexual, promiscuous, atheist porn watchers.

What is happening around the world, anything concerning pain or suffering and even death is not because God is punishing us. It is because of the effects of what sin is and does. Just as what is the result of gravity or the lack of it.
What goes up must come down as long as the principles of what made the object defy gravity do not remaining n in play, gravity will have its way. So to with sin. The results of sin is pain suffering and in the end death. Sure God will have His say and administer His punishment in the end, the end of this worĺd. Right now what He is hoping is that we will get sick of what sin is doing and decide that His way is the best. Right now He is absorbing the majority of what sin can do to us. But at the end in will be permitted to run its course and all who have failed to learn to trust in Him will not only feel the course of sin but also Gods hatred of sin because of what it has done to His crowning act of creation, humanity.

If your God is Omni-Everything, yet puny man's sin bothers him so much, he could eradicate it with a thought.

(Spare me the free-will rejoinder. It's lame.)
