Vizio, your ignoring the fact that Jews had TWO types of slaves, one that your referencing, and the other you can beat the hell out of, just as Jesus taught.

And your point is what? Is that wrong? Why do you believe it is wrong?

Doesn't matter. The human being being beaten is still suffering. Pain and anguish doesn't stop and say, "Wait. What type of slave are you? Are you being beaten because God says it's OK?"
Following Cupper's morale code would stop that pain and anguish from being inflicted.

OK....so if pain and anguish is stopped. Does that mean that it's more moral to not to do that? If so...why? Can you explain using something other than your own personal opinion?
Uh, oh. The goal posts just got moved. Someone tell Cupper that Viz has to punt and his kicking leg is giving him trouble.
Nope...still the same old goal. I'm asking you and everyone else on this thread to explain to me how their morality is somehow better than anyone else's. I've not seen anyone do it.

Vizio, do you truly believe there is something in your faith which substantiates the beating of another human being, even if they didn't know they did something wrong. That IS what Jesus taught.

In Luke:*
12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

As I've said many times before, my construct of morality covers questions of doubt like you have:
If it feels good, do it.
If it harms you or someone else, don't
Jesus had no qualms about harming someone else, when he gave instructions as to how to beat slaves. You can not deny that.

You notice he does that whenever reality strikes him and he is backed into a corner.
