There was either "something" or "nothing". Nothing freaks me out more than "nothing" so I am a "something" guy. Neither of these stances need an god. Also just because they don't need one doesn't mean there isn't a god. It's just that this Omni-god doesn't seem to match what the universe is teaching us.
