A prime example of your god as a tyrant. What god worth its salts would want to judge someone, or punish them - for eternity, just because someone didn't believe in them, or they felt they'd been dissed? Only a despot of the worst kind - only too fallible, too autocratic, too absurd, too bloody human.

Something about the God of the Bible I don't know? Something that somehow allows them to worship a psychopath in spite of the passages in the Bible that clearly show this? Yes two possible reasons...denial and ignorance. So called educated people can posses both qualities in regards to any specific topic or idea. Once again, I will restate my point that others have made also. They are believing in a God of their own making...their own imagination..their own brain...not the God of the Bible. They are conveniently denying reality. The passages speak for themselves. I think a psychological principal called 'compartmentalization' comes into play in addition to 'cognitive dissonance'.

A reasonable, educated person would not worship a tyrant. There must be more to God than you know.

You missed the part where Texan explained HOW:

"They are believing in a God of their own making...their own imagination..their own brain...not the God of the Bible. They are conveniently denying reality..."

In other words, they conjure up a more sublime, user friendly god that is often a salad bar of different "sides" that is more palatable to digest. They are too intelligent to accept some baby killing, prejudiced, sexist, egotistical tyrant displayed in the early to mid Old Testament.

Could you please state specific reasons why the God of the Bible, should not be labeled a psychopath instead of just mentioning hell or judgement or do you have to be honest with yourself and admit that you think infanticide, killing helpless people and enjoying that are good moral ways of living? Did I mention the delighting in the killing of animals before..you know that personality trait that some psychopaths exhibit in their childhood years before they start moving to humans.

Tell that to the hundreds of millions of people who worshiped and adored Mao, Hitler, Stalin, Osama bin Laden, even Saddam Hussein.
