At the same time, I have never seen a lobby or a group of these hypocrits marcing in the streets demaning rights to make adultry legal , [ it is still illegal ] , I don't see the Department of Education promoting or teaching children in school how to commit adultry ,' although I do admit they teach them how to have sex ' .
Adultulters don't march with organozations like , zoophiles [beastiality] or NAMBLA [ promotors of sex with children of any age ' one such slogan " sex before eight or it's too late " ] , or drag little children through the streets with in parades where naked deviants perform or fondle each other .
Do you see now see the reason ? It is because adulteres stay in the closets, where I think all the others should've stayed .

I pretty much agree with this post ( although it's a little rough ), except for the stay in the closet part.

In other words only what some consider deviant have the right to free speech there , glad my ancesters left that place . Of course we are slowly but surely joining you in the UN fight to rule over us all . The NewWorld order is here, just a few minor touch ups is all thats left .
We too are no longer a free nation . Our freedoms have been turned over to the dictations of imoral dictators ,imo.
Good citizens stayed silent while the evil ones took over . We didn't make proper use of our free speech, and now we have lost it .

I just don't understand people that vote based on abortion or anti-gay positions.
Presidents practically have no effect on these issues, other than the occasional nomination of a Supreme Court Justice sympathetic to their views.
There are so many more important issues like the War and Economy and Health Care and Education to worry about. Why don't people think of the well being of themselves and their families first, instead of voting based on gays in society??
Makes no sense.

Only a moral and just society can stay free[ forgot who said this ] .
The first thing to go is morals and family values that are the foundations for freedom and indivdual rights . Weaken the foundation and the whole system crashes down .
Freedom doesn't mean that every desire of man be fullfilled . Walking naked in public [ unless your in Pride Parade ] , or stealing, murder , perjury ,adultry, rape ,etc, etc, is all unlawful . You do not have the freedom to do these things .

No other words, just those I said. This country has outlawed hate mongering.

If adultery damages more people than homosexuality then why isn't adultery the number one hot topic? Should laws and punishment be enacted for adulterers that are consistent with what many people are proposing as laws and punishment for homosexuals? Is the focus on homosexuals just a diversion from adultery because there are so many adulterers? What will be the response from the anti gay people when(and it will happen) it is shown that some people are born with a proclivity to be homosexual due to their genetics(in other words, God made them this way)?
To clarify where I am coming from, I am straight, however I find all of this focus on homosexuality pure poppycock. The amount of wasted energy spent on all of this negativity could be much better directed to more constructive things in life.

The problem here is that people are using their own preferences (on both sides actually) to push an agenda. The preachers who are railing red-faced against homosexuality I feel should be more concerned with the teachings of Christ--things like taking care of children, widows, the poor--as well as spreading the Gospel.
Unfortunately, in America, spreading the Gospel has oftentimes come to mean pushing social issues that the preacher and some members of the flock support. Now I completely support anyone's decision to vote for the candidate of his/her choice and to fight for (or against) social causes. But when you start to invoke the Bible to browbeat others to believe or vote like you on social causes, then I think you're overstepping the line.
I have pretty much always voted Republican my entire life. My entire family votes Republican for the most part. This election, I'm looking at voting for Obama because I'm so fed up with the Republican's. These preachers (and I'm a fundamentalist Christian) conveniently ignore things like sending young boys off to war unnecessarily to appease a president's megalomania. They ignore the Republicans turning their backs on the poor, the environment (which God created), children, education, etc. But they're obsessed to the point of paranoia about tax cuts, abortion and homosexuals. One would think there were no other issues in this enormous, diverse nation.
Personally, it has always been my contention that the people who are so obsessed over homosexuality, et al, have a sexual problem theirselves which is why they can't get their mind away from the crotch.

Bob I appreciate your posting this. The Christian stereotypes you discuss are why so many are distrustful of a guy like Huckabee, for example. It is nice to know not all Christians are like this in "real life".

Maybe preaching against homosexuality is so popular in some churches is simply because it inspires people to put more money in the collection plates than on most other sermon topics.

Hmmm...the state with the highest percentage against gay marriage is also the poorest state in the nation (not to mention a few other choice ranks).
States that approve of gay marriage/civil union are the richest most prosperous states in the nation.
Guess were I'd want to live even if I weren't a..how do they put it in Missisp? "A 'generate"
