It actually says a lot about that if you study it. This clip is helpful.

I was talking to someone who has a Muslim friend in Norway. I asked about Ramadan & how they can fast during summer/winter when the sunrise & sunset timings are way off from rest of the world (Muslims fast between sunrise & sunset so Ramadan in winter means just 3-4hrs of fast & in summer it means 20+hrs fast? Doesn't make sense). He said they recently decided to go by sunrise/sunset timings of Saudi Arabia. So this is one way I know how sunrise, sunset impacts the Muslims of Norway. Interesting thread. Would like to hear others' thoughts.

Um....no. That video makes a huge leap in logic to assume that the facts of Jesus are fiction based off of Horus. That's an old one. It's been done before. It doesn't hold water.

So, again, I ask you....how do you KNOW that Christianity was based off of sun-worship?

I'm pretty sure it's son-worship.

I never said that it was. But I believe all religions with the story of a demigod who is crucified and rises 3 days later all have similar elements, with similar origins.

The date of Easter has more to do with the moon than the sun: First Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring.

However, except for the wider extremes of light and darkness, they still have sunrise and sunset and have the same solstices and equinoxes as everybody else, right?

And what about the summers when the nights are very short in those northern places?
