Default Religions of the world: different gods?

I mean really! How can anyone believe that the god a Christian believes in is a different god than the god a Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist believes in? There is only ONE reality, one truth, how could it be any other way? We are all wandering around the same universe, so are we all being recruited by different spiritual football teams? I am definitely not saying that any of these religions knows the absolute truth because I don't think they do, but according to a USA Today poll 50% of responders think the Christian god is different from other religions' god. So that in and of itself is suggesting that there is more than one god.

Oh wait, never mind. Its insinuating that only Christians are actually worshiping a god, and everyone else is worshiping a myth. Silly me.

IMO, we all worship the same God, only with different rituals and ceremonies and doctrines...

Exactly. Its like we have an expensive camera with many lenses. We all have a lens we choose to look through because it makes us feel the most comfortable, but the world itself never changes at all.

Exactly, and I call this lens ego.
Because we are all different there is no guarantee that people who experienced the exact same situation will learn the same lesson; we all focus on different things, thus learn different lessons.

I have always tended to view all the various religious traditions this way:

You have numerous different individuals all pointing their finger upwards, at something, but essentially they are all pointing to the same thing...

Take gentle care.

Then there are the atheists who don't believe in or care about any god. We don't believe in any of what you believe.

Believing is a matter of theory, while learning is a matter of being pragmatic.
In a sense it doesn't matter if you believe the theory as long as it works IRL.
A Buddhist would say that the truth is and that what you believe is irrelevant.

Isaiah 43: 10 "But you are my witness O Israel, says the Lord. And you are my servant. You have been chosen to know Me, believe in Me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God, there never has been, and never will be".
