What makes you think that all atheists, especially scientists, are liberal?
Why is it people have a hard time reconizing an obvious joke online ? I am a scientist and can say that the majority of us are liberal. I'm also an Atheist and find it's rare *although it does happen* that they identify with conservatism.
Numbers 23:22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
Numbers 24:8 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
Deuteronomy 33:17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
Job 39:9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
Job 39:10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
Psalm 22:21 Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
Psalm 29:6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
Psalm 92:10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Isaiah 34:7 And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
A book of mythologies has references to a mythological creature. Surprising.

I did read a dissertation showing that the 'Unicorn' was in fact (correctly parsed and translated) two -horned and thus an Ox, or something. Another argued that obviously someone had heard about Rhinos.
Brown-Driver-Briggs' Definition: probably the great aurochs or wild bulls which are now extinct. The exact meaning is not known.
To my understanding there have been many animals that have became extinct. It should be normal for really old books to talk about animals the existed then, but not now.

I'm fairly conservative in many ways, although I would not object if someone called me a libertarian. Socially, I'm pretty well live and let live, although I believe the traditional, stable and not dysfunctional family is the ideal for kids to grow up in. I also support same sex marriage, which I would not have a decade ago.
Fiscally I pretty well think that no deficits and balanced budgets, with lower taxation rates are desirable.
Having sat 14 years on our jurisdictions endangered species board, I value science and can't understand the suspicion many conservatives have about science.
I've always wondered this, and got very wishy washy or non concrete reasons behind why they were not mentioned in any of the religious scriptures/texts, that I know of. Now, I could be wrong, as I only know of Christianity and its teachings, but why were they excluded in the bible or any other religious text/book?
There are some references in the Bible that could indicate that they existed. Maybe not as clearly as you'd like...but then there are a lot of animals that are never mentioned in the Bible. Maybe they just didn't have a lot of interaction with people.

Is it simply because Christians, Muslims, etc do not believe in them or think they are a hoax, or were they actually, in fact, in religious scriptures and I am misinterpreting things? This also goes for the story of Unicorns and dragons. I've heard they were left off of the arc or something like that, but I just want to hear people's opinions and what they believe is the "truth" to dinosaurs and maybe even other fantastic creatures. I'd love to know and hear your opinions and thoughts! Thanks everyone.

Actually...I've heard that it was likely referring to a one-horned rhinoceros.
