I agree. Ted is so idiotic and wrapped up in his Christian delusional beliefs, he might just say something like that. I love watching Christian Republican presidential candidates put their foot in their mouths fairly regularly. It's great entertainment.

Yes.
3 instances I can think of were accidents.
2 kayakers got caught in shoreline trees.
Another was a really sad one. A teenage boy walking with his dogs got swept into a culvert that was filled with debris. He and one of his dogs drowned.
Its scary but sometimes people do not avoid danger.
Myself included. I played in some flooded creeks it has its allure.

All part of God's plan, right?

I've never understood the cavalier attitude that religion can create.

Thank you Lord.
Yes apparently God loves Texas over severe drought stricken California. He was so sad that Texas was in a drought that he had to use tornadoes and softball size hail in Texas also to get the job done of filling the lakes with all of the rainwater. I'm surprised Christian nutjobs like Pat Robertson aren't calling California's drought problem punishment for the homosexual behavior of some in that state.

I was wondering the same thing. Either they don't know that, or they were being tongue in cheek? Giving the benefit of the doubt.

No droughts, hail, or tornadoes here in upstate NY. That's because we get our punishment from God in the winter.
